I had been on the hunt for a multitool that would not only be helpful when camping and hiking but also everyday. I honestly didn’t do too much research before buying (which is surprising for me). I quickly fell in love with how the Leatherman Skeletool looked. I checked the prices from multiple websites and stores and found a Groupon.com deal for only $35!
What I really like is that is has a good selection of tools to use and isn’t packed with useless tools such as a toothpick like I have seen on other multitools. It weighs just 5oz, which is hard to believe because it feels heavy duty in your hand. It offers decent sized knife blade (2.6inches) that can be used without opening the entire tool. It also features a set of pliers/wire cutters and a full sized bottle opener which has saved us on a few occasions. However the tool I use more often on this Leatherman is the screwdriver. It features both flathead and phillips head bits in two different sizes. It stores one bit in the head and then a second bit is stored securely within the tool.
This tool is always with me, I have owned it for about a year now and it is still in a like new condition. While I might not use it as much as some people it’s always there for when I need it.
The Leatherman Skeletool is currently available on Amazon for $54.99 https://smile.amazon.com/Leatherman-Skeletool-Multi-Tool-Stainless-Steel/dp/B000XU9NXW/ref=sr_1_1?s=power-hand-tools&ie=UTF8&qid=1493212357&sr=1-1&keywords=leatherman+skeletool
